ABout the gallery
Sorondo Projects is a contemporary project space located on Trafalgar Street in Barcelona. The gallery supports young and emerging artists by fostering a vibrant, inclusive artistic community in which diverse voices are meaningfully engaged. Its program focuses on practices that encourage reflection on collective identity, belonging, and difference, grounded in lived experience. With a particular commitment to Latin American artists and diasporic perspectives, the gallery supports practices within the cultural and material frameworks.
Sorondo places a particular emphasis on the act of making, process based practices are central to its curatorial approach. The gallery is drawn to works in which materials are approached as storytellers in their own right, holding histories, tensions, and emotional weight. This focus frequently results in abstract forms that resist immediate definition, inviting viewers into moments of receptive intuition and sensorial contemplation.
Through exhibitions and ongoing dialogues, the gallery cultivates an environment of exchange, reflection, and shared learning, open for all, where art becomes a means of understanding both the self and the world.
