Both María Elena Pombo and Miguel Braceli understand territory not as a fixed reality, but as a construct in constant transformation, shaped by the relationships, gestures, and forms of participation that move through it. Their practices propose alternative ways of thinking about permanence—not through stability, but through movement, collaboration, and the possibility of change.

Through distinct artistic languages, both artists engage with what endures and what transforms: the traces left by collective action, the marks inscribed on the landscape, the material remnants of distant histories and the ephemeral gestures that exist only while they are shared. Their works create spaces of encounter where knowledge is produced relationally and where new forms of belonging can emerge.

Situated between geological memory and collective experience, these practices explore alternative ways of inhabiting the world, understanding territory as a space open to imagination, reconstruction, and the creation of new possibilities.

In both cases, the landscape ceases to be a passive backdrop and instead becomes a living agent, capable of bringing together bodies, histories, and communities around futures yet to be imagined.
